I'm in trouble...

This morning I woke to a huge bang and then a sudden shouting/crying. I ran to Maisey's room and sure enough she had fallen out of her crib. She has started a new thing lately with climbing so I'm assuming she was trying to climb out and instead face planted. It scared me so bad and now I'm wondering what I should do? Her crib is on the lowest setting and she can still manage her way out. I really am not looking forward to the toddler bed thing when she can get out of bed whenever she wants. Oh that would be a nightmare. Any other ideas?

oh no!! that is no fun! is she ok? hope so! that stinks! I have no ideas, obviously i'm kiddo free! But we have to put a gate up on our stairs to block the kitty from coming upstairs and meowing at our door..she ended up jumping it so we bought another gate and now its double stacked and its 8 feet tall so she cant jump it..maybe you can get something worked out where there is a gate or something blocking her from cawling over the wall?? I have no idea what..but that is my only suggestion :) ha i am no help.. sorry! yay only 176 days to go!! cant wait until you find out the gender!!

I've heard there is some kind of tent or net that goes over cribs to keep babies from escaping. Sounds kind of funny, and I've never tried it, but who knows?

That is so scary. I can't believe she is already that big. It blows me away that they grow so fast! Good luck with everything!!

My sister in law has twin girls that are a little over 2 now, and ran into the same problem. For their safety...and her sanity, she really didn't want them to be able to climb out. Anyways, she found these crib tent things that are made out of mesh and have a zipper on the outside and it connects to the top of the crib. She says they are total life savers..in fact she takes them with her when she travels. I'm sure you could look it up online...but if you want me to ask her where she got them, just let me know. Good luck!

hey guys...she is too little to be doing that ALREADY! there are "tents" that i know you can get a Babies R Us that attach to the crib and you zip them in so they can't get out. i think they are about $70, but my friends that have them think they are worth every penny. good luck!

Oh, she still seems too little for a toddler bed, but I would probably think about doing it if she falls out of her crib. With a new baby coming this might be the perfect oppurtunity. Changing from a crib to a bed sucks no matter when you have to do it, so I say get it over with!

I've heard that once they fall out, its hopefully scares them enough that they won't try to get out by themselves again. Maybe give it another couple days and see how she does. Benson has tried climbing out, but doesn't try too hard even though I know he could get out if he wanted to.

I'm sorry poor little girl.
I hope she is alright.
My boy's climb on everything they climb up to try & get into there cribs, but they haven't tried to climb out of them yet.
I've been thinking of toddler beds to but they are expensive & I have to by 2.
I might just go straight to bunk beds with a full bottom & let them both sleep on the bottom bunk til they're big enough for the top.
So if I do that how much do you think they'll sleep?

I just put my kids in a bed and put a twisty knob on the door knob so they can't get out. That way the whole room is a crib now and they just give up and get back in bed to sleep. I have had no problems with this method for me. When they wake up they just knock on the door and I go and open it.
