Run Baby Run...

So I am feeling very brave and ambitious lately, so I've decided to train to run a half marathon in October. For those of you who don't know, I have never been a runner. I have always wanted to be but I have always hated it and it has never come naturally for me (I literally feel like I'm going to die doing it). Therefore, the time has come to try and live out my dream. I am feeling very motivated right now so hopefully I can keep it up. I am starting out extremely slow and working my way into it. If anyone out there has ran a marathon or is big into running, any advice will be appreciated. Oh and by the way if anyone would like to join me, the invitation is always open.

I am impressed! Congrats that is so awesome. I have always wanted to run a marathon, but just haven’t got around to it! Hopefully I will some day!! It was so fun seeing you at Grandma Eyre’s house! Maisey is getting so big and she is so darn cute! I totally understand that you couldn’t make my shower, but thanks for the gift I absolutely love the outfit! It is so cute. I hope everything is going well for you guys! P.S. Tell Darbee to add me to her blog! She suddenly she went private and now I am blocked! Thanks!

Hi Kelsey!
I came across your blog from Jen Bird's. I went to high school with Cade. It's fun to see what he's been up to. Also, Maisey is BEAUTIFUL!!

Anyway, I thought that I'd comment because I am also training for a half marathon in August. I started out about 2 1/2 months ago and I couldn't even run a mile, but now I'm up to 5. That is proof that you can totally do it! It has been really fun to train for, actually. I have a couple of running sites posted on my blog that have helped me out a ton. You're welcome to check it out if you'd like. Good luck with the training. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd love to help!

Thanks for your comments on my blog. You are really sweet. I do still have about 20 lbs. to lose, but that is what training for this half marathon is for. Anyway, as far as nutrition, I was doing the body for life diet but right now I'm just eating healthy. Just cutting back on carbs and sugar...all the good stuff!

I'm excited to have someone to track progress with. It will be fun to check back and see how you're doing. I would say that the most important thing with this running stuff is to celebrate every little accomplishment. "I ran 10 minutes straight today." or "I finally was able to run 2 miles." That has been the difference this time around for me. Keep in touch.

Wow, girlie! You ARE ambitious! I HATE to run... but Zach loves it. He'd be happy to give you pointers! Hey, no modbe clothes have arrived yet. I'm HOPING they'll be here before the long weekend! Let me know if you hear anything! Love you! Good Luck with the training... and let me know if there is anything ZACH can do to help! :-)

Hey,when are you running? How far are you going right now? Let me know- we can get a couple groups going at different times and then we all can get our runs in no matter what! By-the-way, is that "Top of Utah"? - 'cause thats the one we are aiming for.

So fun! I always call myself a "wannabe runner" because I HATE running, but I wish I loved it! I just ran a 5k yesterday and it really made me want to start running! So maybe you can motivate me to get my butt in gear and run more! Good luck with that!
